Marie McKinney asked us to drop by.
All was good, but no coffee or sage tea.
All was fun, but no smokin’ was allowed.
Come to our lodge, give your feet a rest.

Dear Mr. Mofsie,
I don’t usually write comments to performers after seeing a concert or show.
But, I just saw the Thunderbirds this afternoon in Manhattan, and it was wonderful. I am a newly retired Literacy teacher and recently found out that my great-grandfather was a Choctaw. Ironically, after your show I wanted to take pictures and walked over to Michael Taylor, and lo and behold I learned he was a Choctaw from a nice lady named Donna. I would love to learn more. He was very gracious and took a photo with me.
I would love to email him if possible, please let me know if it is acceptable. He may also email me if time permits. I truly appreciate the Thunderbirds and their education mission.
Again, thank you for keeping your culture alive…….as we all should.
Sincerely,
Mary Dixon Lake
P.S. I thought you might like one of my poems:
Dance, Kokopelli, Dance
Dance to the sun Kokopelli
Dance to the moon Kokopelli
Lift your feet high off the ground.
Dance swiftly in the air
Like wind blown sand
Carrying songs where men abound.
Play your tune Kokopelli
Play it long Kokopelli
As the night turns into morn
Amidst shining stars and rainbow skies
Dance from dusk until dawn.

Dear Old Friend Louis, I miss you and all of our Family and Friends, even when y’all aren’t wearing your Tribal Finery. I dearly miss Dad and in his honor I’m thinking of adding a TimberWolf tattoo over my heart. What say you in this matter?
Please pass some hugs around from me if you will. I have surrendered my Operators Lic. for fear of having another seizure while underway and accidently kill or maim some innocent pedestrian or child. I could be forced to eat a bullet for I couldn’t live with that guilt. Please extend my sincere greetings to the Thunderbirds
and don’t forget Sam, Vickie and the Boys as well as Grace and her wonderful Family. I continue to hold memories of y’all close to my heart and there is Always a
warm, dry bed and fresh, hot coffee available for my visitors. I’m right off I-81 12 miles South of Hagerstown, Maryland and 22 miles North of Winchester, VA. I’m only 60 mi. West of Baltimore and 100 from Washington, DC and many locations in this area held momentous events between the American Revolution and our altogether Un-Civil War. It can be an enjoyable education about those conflicts and
the many personal observations that were recorded in many journals and somehow didn’t get into the History Books available in the American Schools. OK, I guess that’s gonna do it for me. Take Care My Friend, Teddy Pickett 304 350 1655,

I love to extend my gratitude,, for your wonderful contribution in sharing the lovely native culture. I have always attended drums along the Hudson for more than 10yrs. I love it!…I have always felt I had native Indian ancestry, and recently it was confirmed by raking a DNA test that, I have mayan indian, taino, and native American indian…I’m in the process of finding which tribes. In the meantime, I am interested in becoming a dancer. I want to know of any workshops or classes. Please email me at janetortizb@aol.com. Thank You!

The Thunderbird American Indian Dancers often have classes at the American Indian Community House each spring and fall. And from time to time members of the company share their knowledge through classes.
